DescriptionThe peak day pricing program is available for businesses to enroll in. In exchange for lower rates the rest of the year, businesses will be exposed to 9-15 peak pricing periods per year, typically during the hottest days of the year. They should minimize their load during those periods to save money. They can do this by receiving an email, text or phone call and adjusting use manually, or automate using an OpenADR VEN.

Variable rate incentives: customers sign up for 9-15 peak pricing events per year where they pay very high rates (up to 8x normal), in exchange for lower rates the rest of the year. Exact rates depend on the customer, PG&E does not publicly advertise the rates.
